Wissenschaft und Forschung

Übersicht der Forschungsarbeit und Publikationsstrategie des Institutes:

  1. Forschung sollte die Vision, Mission und Ziele des PIBS an der Universität Bethlehem als Schwerpunkte setzen (Siehe dazu die Über uns-Seite).

  2. Sind dieser Kriterien erfüllt (z. B. Unterstützung der natürlichen und menschlichen Vielfalt), setzen wir folgende Prioritäten für die Veröffentlichung: a) Bereits bestehende Daten (für Details siehe Aktionspunkte): z.B. über Wadi Zarqa (könnte für einen großen Artikel oder mehrere kleine Veröffentlichungen genügen); Jinsafut; Master-Arbeit (Permakultur, Bildung, Wala' Abschlussarbeit, Elias, Najajrah); Chromosome Anpassung (Elias), b) Daten durch bestehende genehmigte Fördergelder und Fonds: Darwin, NGS, EU Projekt, Kulturelles Erbe, Klimawandel, c) neue Daten von Relevanz aber bisher ohne Förderquelle, in den Bereichen Artenvielfalt, menschliche Diversität und Nachhaltigkeit (z.B. Mikrofauna der Streuschicht, Wildtierrehabilitation, Umweltbildung und -bewusstsein etc.)

  3. Die Richtlinien für Forschungsarbeiten sind hier verfügbar und ethische Richtlinien sind auf dieser Seite aufgeführt.

  4. Unten eine Liste vergangener Forschungsprojekte (Sie können die PDF-Dokumente downloaden).

  5. Die Regeln für Autorenschaft entsprechen dem Internationalen Komitee für Herausgeber medizinischer Journale und andere Gruppen und schließen mit ein: “dass ein Autor bestätigt sein muss für: a) Konzept und Design der Studie, Analyse oder Interpretation der Daten; b) Entwerfen des Artikels oder kritischer Durchsicht seines Inhalts; c) finale Zustimmung zu der Version, die veröffentlicht wird; d) Verantwortung für sämtliche Aspekte der Arbeit, um sicherzustellen, dass Fragen zur Genauigkeit jeglicher Teile adäquat nachgegangen und analysiert werden.”

In Gruppentreffen und sogenannten Fokusgruppen wurden und werden unsere Forschungsprioritäten auf diesen Kriterien basierend bestimmt:

  • Biodiversität schützen und systematisieren:: Wadi Al-Makhrour Daten (für Darwin Initiative), Regulierung in Naturschutz und Erarbeitung einer nationalen Stragegie (für EQA Partnerschaft und Belgischen Fördervertrag), Orchideen des Westjordanlandes, Wildtierrehabilitation, Beratung für Environmental Impact Assessment etc.

  • Bewahrung der humanen Diversität und des kulturellen Erbes: Vor allem für das EU Projekt fokussieren wir uns auf die Wurzeln und Nachhaltigkeit: Einheit in Vielfalt. Die Menschen des Landes Kanaa, Wurzeln der Sprache, Erbe, das uns zu Land und Natur verbindet.

  • Bildung und Umweltbewusstsein: Im Stile der Arbeit mit Khawla Abualia und des Zoi Projektes (Workshops zum Klimawandel). Bedarf an objekt-basierten Lernmethoden und studentenbezogenen Lernen etc.

  • Landbau/nachhaltige Produktion (Darwin and EU Projekt): Permakultur, Agrobiodiversität, Aquaponik etc.

  • Gesundheit und Medizin-Zoologie: Für die Vereinbarung mit MOEHE (z.B. Mosquitos im Westjordanland), jetzt können wir mehr hinzufügen, Zoonetik)

  • Management und Organsiationsbezogene Arbeit: Wir haben unter anderem Artikel veröffentlicht, wie wir das Museum und Institut aufgebaut haben und wie wir es betreiben./ Jetzt beschäftigt uns die Struktur des botanischen Gartens. Sie können Forschungsfragen übernehmen, z.B. Krisenmanagement von Ressourcen in einem Entwicklungsland, Fundraising etc.

Vor Kurzem haben wir ein neues Forschungsvorhaben begonnen mit der Unterstüztung der EU Friedensinitiative. Darunter fallen Projekte zu Bildung und Umweltschutz, Fördergelder sind abrufbar für Projekte, die obenstehende Kriterien erfüllen.

Wir publizieren und setzen unsere Arbeit fort in den Bereichen: Genotoxizität, Effekt der industriellen Ansiedlungen im Westjordanland, Fauna und Flora, Heilpflanzen, faunistische Untersuchungen der Schutzgebiete, Biodiversität, Ökologie, (Umwelt-)Bildung, Museologie, Systematiken, Ethnoökologie und Ethnobotanik. Außerdem haben wir einen Forschungsdienst und ein klinisches Zytogenetik-Labor für Krebs, Infertilität und kongenitale Geburtsfehler. Momentan werden die Ressourcen genutzt für verschiedene Forschungsprojekte von Master-Studierenden, Studierenden im Bachelor-Programm und Freiwilligen.
